Bryan...don't know what to do with the material yet, though...
I'm worried about how expensive it will be. The material itself will cost quite a bit, then to send it off and have a kilt made out of it is even more. By the time I'm done, I could buy a Baillie tank I'm drooling over.

I took a look at that site, and $30 per yard is not correct. The lightest you will want for a four yard kilt is 13 oz wool, which they have the Bluebonnet tartan listed, in 54" wide cloth, for $74.95 per yard. So, you'd need two yards (assuming your measurements are 46" or less), so that comes to About $150. Then I charge $220 for tailoring, which makes your kilt $370. Not bad.
If you wanted a heavy weight cloth, I can have that custom woven for you for $65 per yard, single width. That kilt would come to $480.
Aye,

You could just order the kilt through Scotland Forever, too. I know Roxie and Terry. They're about a mile from my house. They get quite a few orders for kilts in the Bluebonnet tartan, which is what I believe it's called. I don't care for it much myself, but they sell a lot of it.

It's actually a new staple to the Marton Mills line on 16 oz tartans (wool)... (that was stated more for Matt's benifit. Matt... call Shelly and ask for the new "Jura book 3")
If you wanted a USAK 5 yard wool kilt, it'll be about the same price as Matt's... $350.
