First FK arrives
What a nice surprise today, not only two new kilt pins from Scotland, but also my first FK arrived.
I've not had time to really look at it yet, I was out for the evening, I quickly tried it on and will review it later with piccies.
The only sad part so far is that since ordering I've gained two inches in my waist. The button design doesn't allow for such growth as traditional straps do so it no longer fits too well.
My wife is happy tho', she thinks it will motivate me to loose the weight. She is right, it will!

Can't wait to see the pics, Graham, when you manage to get into it, that is.......;)
That's what I keep telling myself too but, no matter what, the lbs just keep coming. Several of my non-traditional kilts are now VERY tight on me, my gorgeous Freedom Kilt among them!
As soon as you discover the secret of losing weight, PLEASE share it with me!!

Hamish, the secret is simple, cut down on fats, sugars and pastries, then lots of exercise.
Easier said then done tho'.

I don't know if it's a secret and I don't know that it will work but I just ordered a 5 yard casual from scottishkilts.net in a 36" waist. I'm currently a 38 if I suck it in a bit. I'm determined the bugger will fit by the time it gets here, so no lunch and only soup and a hunk of bread for dinner, and basic callisthenics as often as I can stand it. I've already dropped 5 pounds and most of an inch in the last week. It's not so much I want to lose much weight as I'd like to see the potbelly move north a bit. If I could lose 2 or 3 inches in the belly and gain 2 or 3 in the chest without losing a pound, that would suit me just fine.

Add to this drinking a LOT of water - this will fill you up when you feel hungry & will also help your body process whatever you are eating more efficiently and thereby help you to loose weight...
ITS A KILT, G** D*** IT!
