I don't do stupid things at work!. I'm retired. But, then there was that one time, I was installing a new recorder in a control panel made out of 1/4 carbon steel. It was going on the bottom of the panel and I'd measured just a little too close, so the recorder wasn't quite sliding into the hole i'd cut with a reciprocating saw. So, I started cutting just a bit more out of the bottom of my hole. I just needed to rock the saw downwards a bit, then there was a shower of sparks and the lights went out. I'd managed to saw into a conduit and short out several 110 volt ac wires. The whole screening building went down. The area supervisor wasn't a happy camper.

Sorry to hear about your camera, they definitely don't like D6's.
Stupid things? I do them every day.
today I installed a sign on a brick wall, figured I didn't need to measure, my eye was good enough....it wasn't.

Is that the offending brick wall in your post on the FK?
I once spent an afternoon with a family writing the obituary for their mother's funeral, then went home with it to type it up. Went to the funeral the next day, 65 miles from my house, and forgot the only copy.
Called a child by my son's name at his baptism. The parents corrected me.

ONCE I told my manager that his idea of the way my team needed to be organized was not going to work and we'd change back by the end of the year. Talk about him turning RED!! Promotions, what promotions??

Many years ago while at college, I was in between classes and needed to dash home one bright sunny day for some reason or another. My roommates and I shared a three-story apartment and I recall having to go up to the third floor to my bedroom for whatever it was I needed. After a few minutes, I went back downstairs and left the apartment only to forget my sunglasses (which I wear outdoors daily, in nearly all weather conditions, due to a lifelong case of photophobia). I went back inside and had a look around but I couldn’t find them anywhere. Needless to say, I was a bit puzzled since I normally know where my sunglasses are at all times (because of the light sensitivity issue).
Over ten minutes of searching and I became understandingly frustrated that I couldn’t find the sunglasses. I decided to retrace my steps, but this turned out to be fruitless as well. Eventually, after coming back downstairs and giving the kitchen and dining room one last look, I decided to give up and walked into the living room to leave the apartment...and passed a mirror that hung on the short hallway wall between the dining and living rooms. I stopped suddenly in my tracks, having a good look at myself in the mirror and shaking my head...my sunglasses were on my face.

Stupidity at Work
A good many years ago when I was a student and washed and valetted the 'planes at my local airport at weekends for pocket money. Jumped down from a 'plane but hadn't realised it was under way while being moved by one of the airport tugs; landed awkwardly, got clobbered by the oleo leg and one wheel went right over my foot. Ouch! Never made that mistake again.
