    Clash of Tartans

    Condolences on your loss, Derek.
That's a nice tartan shawl which your wife should be able to wear without clashing with your cilt, but you could always get a cilt made to match.

    Derek and Elaine,

I was so sorry to hear about your sad loss of Lucy - such an affectionate and gentle member of your family. I will not say more now as I am just going off to an evening of Ballet ("Coppelia") in Horsham, but I am thinking of you both, and Dolly, and will 'phone you tomorrow.

as for the cilt clashing... simple solution... GET A CILT TO MATCH!!!! woudl impress the hell out of your mother -in-law - which is never a bad thing - and eliminate any visual conflicts
I agree, about your dog and any excuse to get another kilt.

I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved dog. Dogs have a special place in man's heart. No other domesticated animal so closely integrates itself into our social fabric or can read our emotions as well. Dogs are faithful companions, loving comforters, courageous protectors, and endless sources of unbridled affection. The loss of a dog touches the heart as much as the loss of any other close family member. My heart goes out to you and your family.

    Derek,

Our condolences on the loss of Lucy. We have only one of our 3 dogs left, and she is getting on in years as well. The loss is very profound, especially on the other animals.

The tartans look great. You and Elaine will look great on stager with them.

Deepest of sympathies on the loss of your dog, Derek. Animals touch our lives in such special ways.

I really like the Jones tartan, but I have found no Jones in my lineage.

Awwww...losing a pet is hard. I cried my eyes out when Clint left us, five years ago.

Thankyou all for your kind words. They really are very much appreciated. Here is a piccy of her.

We have a Ceilidh to do on Sat, so Elaine will be wearing her Jones shawl. I will take several pictures of us and post one or two here on Sun.
    Once again, thanks everybody

It's not right. Dogs just don't live long enough.

Sorry to hear about the dog. It was hard enough for us to make the decision to put down the family pet a few years ago so I know that it wasn't easy for you as well.

As for the tartans...eh...I say clash away...couple that wear clothes that match all the time drive me a bit bonkers...
