This is really sad to hear. I certainly hope that he can live with himself if his conviction turns out to be true. I know that in reality of life it may have a negative impact on Kilt wearers, I certainly hope not.

Why should such crimes have an impact on kilt wearers? The overwhelming majority of crimes is commited while wearing pants and it's had no impact on pants wearers.

I don't see it reflecting on kilt wearers particularly any more than it will reflect on beer drinkers. It's simply a crime committed by a very twisted mind.
