When I finished work...that's mostly close to midnight...I have to walk several blocks through the city centre to pick up my car.
Lots of pubs and lots of people....I'm used to people looking at me and I often hear: "ow! a kilt!", "nice kilt!", "isn't it cold underneath?"...the usual...sometimes I return a smile or nod my head to say thanks, but mostly I ignore remarks and keep on going.
Tonight....the same, but I stumbled upon a "mob"...about 15 guys and gals.
They obviously had "some" drinks in a pub. I walked straight through them, wondering how long it would take...
Not very long...
"Hey! a kilt!"
"huh?"
"that guy is wearing a kilt!"
"who?"
"oh! cool!"
"nice kilt!"
so far so good...I just smiled and kept on moving...
"Hey! sir!?"
I turned around and asked "what?"
"is it true?"
I turned away from them and walked on...grabbed some pleats with one hand and lifted the back of my kilt...enough to show my butt for a split second.
"was he...?"
"no!?!?"
"he was"
"sure?"
"very sure!"
"geeh!"
