You could become one of my clients and give it to me....
Nah, I'm going to reluctantly pass on this round as well....perhaps round 3?

Tartan order
The members of this board seem to be "on" something most of the time, what with the projects of tartan, T-shirts, pins and patches all going at the same time. I will attribute that as the reason I still have not seen my name on any list nor had any response regarding the tartan order.
Regardless, I've emailed Steve and mailed a money order to cover 5 metres. Really don't want to miss out on some of this fine looking tartan.

Flyv65, if you still want in please e-mail me and let me know how much you want. I understand that you will not be able to pay till next month but let's get your order in.
Before this is finalized, here's one more possible "wrinkle" in the deal: how many of your ladies would want a matching sash?
I have been corresponding with Karhy Lare, and she said a lady's sash is usually 90" long, and about 10.5" or 11" wide. To make without piecing, you'd need about 2.5 meters. She has also made shorter sashes 54" long, which she cuts across the bolt (assuming at least 54" wide fabric), and she recommended 1/2 meter for the 54" sash. (It's also possible to piece a 90" long sash; she said 1/2 meter is enough for the pieced 90" sash. Her labor charge for fringing either the 54" or 90" sash is US$12.
Kathy said that for the 90" sashes (assuming >= 54" fabric), the 2.5 meter length would make 5 sashes (unpieced). One possibility would be for 5 of us to go together and order the 2.5 meters, and split the cost . . . based on Steve's earlier example:
2.5 meters * C$45.00 / meter = C$112.50
10% handling = C$11.25
7% GST = C$7.88
Total = C$ 131.63 split 5 ways, or approx. C$26 / US$23 per person
assumptions / notes:
- assumes no additional shipping as the fabric is shipped to Kathy as part of an order by one of us who is going to have her make the kilt anyway (like me)
- I am not sure of the basis for the calculation of the PayPal fee (inclusion of taxes, S&H??)
I hope this doesn't muddy the waters too much
Regards,
Mark

. . .
Steve,
I sent you an email (on Wednesday) . . . I'm assuming that you received my email (as opposed to the internet having eaten the email) . . . and it's not finalized yet so you haven't sent out the invoices (which is fine -- I'm not in a hurry . . . well, I'm jonesing for the kilt already, but . . . )
If you didn't receive the email, post a reply here and I'll resend.
Regards,
Mark

Everyone please calm down.
I am juggling Kiltmaking, changing thread color every few min. on the embroidery maching making patches, and handling the X Marks Tartan ordering.
My wife is also freaking out with the business and personal taxes and is calling me 14,113,246,794 times a day for new information.
PLEASE, DO NOT SEND ANY MORE CHECKS OR MONEY ORDERS IN THE MAIL UNTIL I HAVE A CHANCE TO GET INVOICES OUT TO EVERYONE!!!!!
We still don't know for sure what the final price per meter will be.
