LOL....well it was 10 degrees last night when I ventured down to the corner for some chinese food in my corduroy UK...I got looks from people that suggested that I was a deranged individual for even thinking of going out like that...the knee caps might have been cold but other than that I was fine....

I've gotten that several times going to class. Always "isn't it too cold for that today?" or "man you must have balls of steel to wear that on a day like this!"
cracks me up

I usually use a line I stold from Ron. "Remember, heat rises and besides...theres a heat log under there". Gets some great responses.

It was 25 degrees this morning. I wore one of my military kilts (Stewert Hunting) to church. I was deluged with people asking "aren't you cold?". Once I explained how much material was in the kilt they were satisfied. Several women even said that perhaps they should replace their dresses with kilts.

I was standing on my front porch last evening having a smoke, and the temp was 4F. My legs were toasty warm. This was probably helped by the fact that my wife made taco salad for supper - she uses a lot of refried beans in her recipe. . If you have had similar experiences remember to fan those pleats before you go back into the house because when you sit down . . .

When I get the "Aren't you cold wearing that?" I say..."Well, I always adhere to the scientific principle of Heat Rising." And their follow up..."You mean you don't wear anything under there?" To which I say..."Nothing but the Big Happy Smile God gave me."
After this usually beers are bought for me or by me.
Cheers...David
