“Nuclear power training program”… Sounds interesting. Does that mean you are in the Navy or civil service or something? Can you elaborate?

I'd actually been following that discussion about Polaris... I'm afraid I used to be a mid. Just graduated in '05. Don't hold it against me, though. They suck you in while you're young; if I could do it over again I'd have enlisted first, then gone in for commissioning.
As far as the training goes, I will be a submarine officer, but you need to learn about nuclear power first. I'm just about to finish up the classroom phase here in Charleston, SC.

Welcome to our Forum, Sir, from a navy veteran. I was a surface sailor (tin Cans), so if you don't hold that against me , I won't hold being an Ensign against you.

Welcome to the forum, sit back, relax and have fun. Spent four years in the Navy, sometime in NYC, sometime in Southeast Asia and sometime on the USS Prarie AD 15. Some of the best years. Still All-Nav
