I've not seen any of the Harry Potty films, but if this character features in it then there may be something of value in them, although showing a kilted man as mad may do little to enhance the feeling toward kilts.

Yah...and that eyepatch might qualify this thread to be cross posted to the one on monocles.
Hey, do they make tartan eye patches?

...and by the way, the Harry Potter movies are pretty good and I'd recommend them. Richard Harris (British actor wins palm D'or at Cannes/Irish actor in drunken brawl) was a great master wizard and it was wonderful that, after his unfortunate passing, they replaced him with the equally great Michael Gambon. I would also point out the appearance of the very attractive actress Zoe Wanamaker as the flying broomstick instructor in the first flick...if you appreciate women who are - shall we say - well out of their teens, Ms. Wanamaker is a treat.

The word 'Mad' only refers to the strange eye that he has, it spins around on its own and has the ability to look through things, its not reference to his mental state. I honestly don't remember any references to kilts in the book series.
(yes, I'm a Harry Potter nerd)

Well, he is a little paranoid. But then, "Constant vigilance!" isn't such a bad philosophy to have.

Just because you are paranoid does NOT mean that they aren't after you!!!
BTW - the Harry Potter books are MUCH better than the movies - much richer & detailed beyond belief... and when viewed from an adult perspective can be very enjoyable!!!

I think that you should try and see at least one Graham. You’ll enjoy it. It’s a great fantasy storey about good and evil how do you figure out which is which.
The movies are long, but full of rich scenery and settings. I believe the whole thing is filmed in Scotland. If not it sure looks like it. That’s what I enjoy about the movies.
I have seen them all, many times. You see, my daughter has a crush on the guy that plays Harry Potter.

Also, the Harry Potter books have gotten the kids back into reading books, an activity much in need of encouragement in this day of ipods and video games. My daughter caught on to them, and she got my wife and I into reading them too. Can't wait for the last one in the series to come out.
