First Kilt (Box Pleated)
A very nice, quality kilt.

That is a great looking kilt you have there, Rob. Matt certainly knows his 'stuff' - I had a grey Harris tweed box-pleated kilt from him just a year ago, and I love it. I actually still want a tartan one from him, but just cannot make up my mind about which tartan to select.
By the way, I have to agree about the hose - sorry! There is a subtle difference between 'stone' and 'oatmeal' - 'stone' has a slightly cold greyish tint to it, but 'oatmeal' has a warmer, brownish appearance and would 'go' so much more effectively with the Donegal tweed. The shirt co-ordinates very well though. Well done!

I must say that Tweed looks nice. KCW, I'm sure you will enjoy wearing that one.

646guy,
I have to say I liike the box pleats. Very versatile and very traditional. Most people do not realize that they are traditional, but they do look nice.

Bob C. and Ham,
AAAAUUUUUGGGGGHHHHH! Here I thought I had it! Everyone says oatmeal goes with everything. However, I also saw cream, oatmeal, and stone referred to together in other posts, so I thought they were the same and I bought some cream. Well, everybody then said, those are nice, but really close to white and appropriate for more formal wear. OK, I wear them to the office, so I can deal with it. Now, you tell me oatmeal and stone are different colors!!! I thought these were oatmeal, at least that is what I thought I ordered, and now you say they are stone. All right, I will order another pair in OATMEAL! Any other color I should get while I am at it? Chartruese? Aqua? Lavender? Fuschia? Taupe? Cinnamon Swirl?
On the plus side, given how the light color is in this kilt, the STONE worked well and nobody called me on it at work!

Very classy kilt, i don't have a box pleat yet....yet...leather first then that.
It looks like a great kilt to wear to the office. If I may say, I think a plain brown leather belt would look better than the studded version you wear. A small point.

Graham,
It went over well at the office, and I actually agree about the belt. It was the only brown belt I had that would go around me AND the fabric in the kilt! I really need to get a good brown kilt belt as I have the brown casual sporran and would wear it more if I had a belt to match. Hmmh, time to go buy another accessory!
