Nathan Fillion
This was shown on teh UK Yahoo forum a few days ago, but no one has mentioned it here. Nathan Fillion (Firefly, and the last season of Buffy The Vampire Slayer) was at the premiere of "In Good Company" in a leather kilt. We have detirmined that it was not a UK, RKilt or Union Kilt. Anyone have any ideas where it came from? Here is a link to a pic http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hv&id...553539&intl=us

I can assure you it isn't an "R" Kilt.
Looks like it doesn't fit too well. Rather long. Not much thought put into the overall ensemble.
I believe there is a company out of Chicago making cheap leather kilts...but I don't think it's leather, I kinda think it's vinyl.
So my vote is a brown vinyl kilt......off the rack...,and he doesn't own a mirror or have a group like us to help him with his fashion needs.
Cheers

i think the choice of brown is to do with the fact he is wearing a brown coat - the mark of someone that is showing their allegiance to the show firefly and its follow-up movie serenity.
don't really like the studded bit...

I've seen them on E-Bay, the ones I've seen have been called Goth,Fetish or Punk kilts.

We talked about this a while ago, here, starting around post #23.
We thought, at the time, that it might be a Practikilt from Museum Replicas,
but, as arrogcow pointed out at the time, "I don't think this is a Practikilt.
They are a new addition to the kilt world (fall, 2005), and this pic is
fron Dec of last year (2004)."
Maybe he had someone custom copy a Utilikilt, or he had an inside track with
the Museum Replicas people.
I've seen them on E-Bay, the ones I've seen have been called Goth,Fetish or Punk kilts.
With that snap config? I picked up one on ebay (big mistake)
that had studs that looked like snaps, in the V shape of a UK, and laces on
the sides, but if you look at the blown up picture, NF's snaps look like they
might be functional.
Sorry about the size.

With the blown up pic I can see that it's not the ones I've seen on E-Bay. Very close but definetly not them.
