Yes one can accumulate as many,or more, accessories as kilts. For example, I have 5 sporrans 2 are small to wear with my lighter kilts and the others are heavy to wear with the woolies.
Not to mention socks, flashes, shoe boots..............

Ever read the kids' book "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie"?
If you give a man a kilt, then he's going to want a sporran to go with it.
If you get him a sporran, then he'll want a strap for it instead of the chain that came with it.
If you get him a sporran strap, then he'll need new shoes to match the sporran strap....
....and so it goes...

My daughter loves that book! I just got a great mental image of that mouse in a wee kilt and a glengarry, telling that poor kid, "Och, ye canne give me a sporran, without a strap, laddie!"
