    According to Jim...

There is a scene in one of the episodes of "According to Jim" where Jim Belushi and his wife have a bet. Jim loses and he has to go out kilted.

Reverse psychology, where in actuality the loser is the winner. On that I will bet - a sure thing.

If the stakes are my wearing a kilt ANYWHERE if I lose, then I will always take the bet and work actively to lose!

Actually, I remember seeing part of that episode and it was incredibly insulting. Essentially the idea was that only a moron would want to wear a kilt. It was not a positive view of kilted men at all.

You're right. The actual plot was that Jim got duped into wearing a kilt to work. When the dullard finally caught on, he wailed, "I'M WEARING A DRESS!"

There's a first and last time for everything; that episode was both as far as "According to Jim" and I are concerned.

I don't think we have this show on this side of the pond - at least, I have never heard of it, nor of him! Perhaps it is just as well!!
