Hello, Ross. Welcome.
Since I live In Nebraska (Go Huskers! ), could you do me a favor, and tell Mr. Roger Clemens that he has one more year in him, so I can watch him against the Rockies? It gives me an excuse to go to Denver. Kilted, of course.

Greetings Ross,
While it's been quite a few years since I've been to Houston, I do remember the size of the city and the summer heat. (I thought Toronto was big until I went to Houston!) I have family living there (petro-geologist) but alas... none that wear the kilt. (Yet.)
Hope you enjoy the group.

Welcome cousin,
I was just at the Mesa, AZ Highland games at my Clan Donald tent and they only had one of the three Macdonald tartans I have in kilts. So, even if you figure out "which" Macdonald, you may not be recognized. Set the lady to thumbing through books and she found my Macdonald of Kingsburgh tartan and was relieved.
There are also sort of generic Macdonald tartans out there too.

Thanks for all of the kind welcomes. Right now we are preparing for the Houston Highland Games which will take place here in mid-May. While mid May is barely Spring in some places, it is already in the 90's here. I am a judge for the athletic events along with a good friend who is Athletic Director for the Houston Highland Games Association. I'm looking forward meeting all of my new friends.

I would be remiss if I passed up the opportunity to say Howdy to a member from the Republic. Welcome Ross from just up the road in Bryan/College Station.
