Well, it does help with windy days. All the pins I have are not heavy enough to hold the front apron down unless I pin both aprons together. I have never worried about ripping anything. The kilt is always free to expand if the approns are pinned or not due to the pleats.

Nah, if I was worried about keeping things held close and tight, I would wear pants.
