Packing a kilt for travel

I've "rolled" my kilts using the width of the apron as a guide. If I need to make them smaller, I then fold them in half across the pleats. Three UKs and a Bear travelled for 22 days through Europe like that.

I would do touch-up ironing every few days if they needed it, which was only twice as I recall.

have to agree with everyone on rolling the UKs....I did that for 2 weeks when I went through Italy with NO problems....they looked great each time....

I just received a kilt today by mail and it was the first one ever shipped to me rolled. It didn't have a single wrinkle or crease mark in it. I think I'm gonna have to start rolling my kilts for traveling purposes.

Let's just say taht UK is also good for travelling in italy and you're bringing back four bottles of wine...they didn't budge an inch in the bag and didn't break either....
