    Top 5 kilt movies

This is an order of favourite movies which happen to feature kilts, not by kilt prominence!

5.Wickerman- Christopher Lee as a pagan community leader in a kilt. Legend!

    4. Highlander- stirred the blood even as a spotty wee bairn.

    3. Rob Roy- It just rips of course.

    2. So I married an Axe Murderer- Mike Myers as his Scottish dad singing "If you want my body, and you think I'm sexy come one baby let me know!"

    1. Braveheart- well no medals for guessing that one.

Have you seen Tunes of Glory? It is my all-time favourite movie, not to mention the best (INMHO) kilt movie! Beats Braveheart hands down!

    Cheers,

Though it was only kilted for a short time, Four Weddings and a Funeral was great, too.

    What about Pat Boone?

As a kid I loved Jules Verne movies and Journey to the Center of the Earth has young Mr. Boone not only in full highland garb but singing Robert Burn's "My Love is like the red red rose" to a lovely lass. To be any more any more Scottish would require a single malt scotch, a haggis, and a caber. (Which probably would have spolied the romantic mood of the scene...)

You boys disappoint me.....no votes for Formula 51? Samuel Jackson in a kilt throughout the whole movie!

Good call my friend! I had forgot about that one. Good war era movie period.

The wicker man gets my vote for weird celt movie, get the long version if you can find it though.

Rob Roy was pretty good, and BraveHeart was ok if you keep in mind it's just a movie ;)

LOL, he's a large black man in a kilt. Actually not a bad movie.

I love the lesson in Formula 51: when the guy is told to "follow the man in the dress" at the airport and ends up following the group in traditional African garb rather than Jackson. Subtle lesson there.
