I agree with your comments on the sporran and pin. I don't really think the UK needs them - especially with the configuration of the buttons. But I pretty much fell in love with the pin when I saw it online, and wanted to see how it would present.

You got me. That's pretty much what I was trying to do - give a more "traditional" feel to a decidedly non-traditional kilt. But I think you're right. It doesn't really need it.
