I was joking, at 184 Proof, there's not much room for anything else!
Everclear was a popular party additive at parties in NoCal in the 70's, We'd have it picked up in Nevada (couldn't buy it in CA) and liven up the party!

Man that brings back what few memories are left of a shot contest my senior year in college when I prevailed against other men far larger than I by going through 12 shots of 151 proof rum at about 1 in the morning after having been drinking other shots and beer continuously since 6 pm the previous afternoon.
I really don't have much of a memory of the night except for one large football player picking me up off the ground and telling me that I was more of a man then most of his team.

It's still a popular party additive!

Your vehicle would also run pretty well on it too. But at the price they are more than likely to chatge, Gasoline would be cheaper anywhere in the world.

Glassman brought up the 151 rum which we used to call "dummy juice" because anybody trying to demonstrate the size of their cahones by imbibing it was usually "leaving the party early" (involuntarily). And the last thing you wanted to do around my crowd was to pass out drunk...you usually woke up and found yourself sitting on a bench at a bus stop dressed in womens' clothing with an obscenity written on your forehead in indelible marker....and those were the guys that got off easy.
Frankly I learned early on to drink for endurance...not that that's a good thing....

I hate to think of what 184 proof would do....
I almost had that experience with Strohs 80 rum. Its 160 proof
Made the mistake of drinking a shot (Didn't know it was 160, and my friends didn't bother to tell me, of course they were the ones who bought it) Nearly lost my dinner. I rallied, but just didn't drink much for the rest of the night.

this was the culprit in the story mentioned above...
was in college in Nova Scotia and had brought a couple bottles back from bermuda to give to friends.
One of the crew who swore he could drink anything and everything without showing any ill effects, challenged one of my petite female friends to do a few shots... She had been brought up on the stuff and did warn him NOT TO BREATHE after downing the shot - slam it down . swallow & wait a minute for it all to settle & then breath. She even went first to show him how it was done. He figured if she can do it, he could do it just as well. Poured himself a good sized shot, sniffed it to make sure it was legit, downed it quite well BUT hiccuped once it hit his stomach and gasped for air.
It took him about 20 minutes to speak again - and his first words were of the obscene variety - and took us about an hour to stop laughing. havent stopped giving him grief about the story to this day (almost 20 years later - damn i am old!!!)
ITS A KILT, G** D*** IT!

Cars do run very well on it, while stationed in Germany back in the mid '70's I came very close to running out of gas in the middle of the night but there was always a gasthaus around that sold booze. I added a bottle of Steinhager, (the German's answer to wood alcohol  ), to my '61 volkswagon to get me back to the Kasserne and it ate holes through the pistons and needed a new engine.
Perhaps I should have added some octane...
Chris.
