In some PMs a while back, I had some hints, nothing firm, just hints, that the weathered Lamont might be available sometime in the future, so I told him I would be first in line if they did materialize. That's why I was holding off on ordering the sporran; I was hoping this might happen. Woo Hoo!!

I remember seeing the thread with the pic I just posted but being new here I didn't connect Jerry at stillwater with Sciuropterus. But I remembered the squirrel and the tartan. I bet this tartan will be a big hit for Stillwater, now I've got to order a brown sporran and belt to go with it. I'd go with one of the new cargo sporrans too but I can only really justify one new one just now.

Jerry tells me that he's working on a brown version of his new black canvas cargo sporran. Having just ordered the black one, I've got my name down for a brown one - whenever that becomes available!!

Thumbs up Since Lamont is my tartan !!

I just could not stop my self and ordered a size 44.
Everyone seems to think highly of Stillwater and a heavy wool kilt for $155, whats not to like.

Other than maybe being able to order one in a 23" length I don't think stillwater can be beat for what they do. I just have to wear them like a military high rise and they're just fine. Of course they made to order one I got last week from scottishkilts.net feels like I'm wearing it a bit low and still hits me at the top of my knee, and feels a bit tighter across the butt. I may have to lose the bottom buckle on that one.

So, Stillwater's going to do the new cargo sporran in brown too? That's a rotten thing to do to me, I need a brown sporran and had pretty much settled on a Buzz Kidder. I'll probably have to have both 'cause I can't wait too long for a brown one with this new kilt coming.

MacOmar and MacAbdul the Pakistani kilt makers do a pretty good job. I don't think they'll put Scotland out of business, but they're sure to make a dent in the affordable kilts for those like me who'd like to have a bunch and aren't rolling in the green.
