For those of you looking for boots, If they have your size, Sportsman's guide has some awsome deals. It's gotten to the point where I've stopped looking, 'cause I start saying "I want those ...and those ...and ...and ...and..." I have a stack of boot boxes in the other room; I think there's six of them!

Wellingtons are great with a kilt. Have you ever seen an episode of "Monarch of the Glen"?

Filmed in Scotland, lots of kilts, and not a bad storyline.

There must be at least one scene of a kilt w/ Wellies in each episode.

Hmmm...a kilt and some big rubber boots...I guess it doesn't do much for me, but, here in the US I think we tend to form over function a bit too much lately.

Here's a pair of Tartan Wellingtons

Z Coils. www.zcoil.com They even ran a pic of me kilted hiking in Z Coils in one of their flyers.

And Teva sandals of course when its hot.

Otherwise, Wolverine Boots or New Balance tennies...about the only company that makes tennies for a WIDE Gaelic foot.

Those Z-Coils are interesting. But, I think people would accuse me of heightening if I were wearing those. I'm already at 7' in my Columbia hiking shoes, and I think the Z-Coils would put me over that mark.
