    Woo Hoo I cant wait.

Well Ive finally orded my new pipes, a set of Colin Winstanley hand made African Blackwood pipes with a Ross goretex bag. At this very Moment Colin will be labouring in his workshop crafting my pipes, for those not into pipeing Colin is respected throughout the world as a pipemaker and inveneted the universal blowpipe used by top pipers everywhere, I had the pleasure of visiting his small workshop in Lytham St.Annes last year and the man is a genius. The only downside? -the wait!!! 3-4 weeks how can i stand it!!

There's always a bit of magic involved when something is made by a legendary craftsman.

I'm sure your new pipes will be very special!

    Congrats!

Congratulations, Daz. That sounds like a nice set! I'm currently waiting for my first bagpipes which are on order from McCallum.

While not a piper myself, I do appreciate the significance of fine craftsmanship in musical intruments. Although, fine workmanship and attention to detail usually comes with a price attached, the performance and pride of ownership factors make it all worthwhile. Same goes for cars and kilts.

    Congrats Daz!

I actually start pipe lessons next week, so I will have to look at getting a set of good pipes one of these days.
