Solid-color wool neckties. Help!
I have been trying for weeks to find a solid, dark green tie. I was hoping to wear it with the kilt to work on St. Patrick's Day and to a concert of The Battlefield Band the day after.
I can't find them anywhere. Matt Newsome sells them, but they're on backorder from Lochcarron. The Kiltstore link on this site says they usually ship in 2-3 weeks.
Does anybody know a vendor that ships quickly?

Bob,
Try Dunedin Scottish. A good selection of ties, and they were in stock when I was there a few weeks back, and Darryl and Jim were good to talk with. Tell them I sent you over.
Here is a pic of their wal of ties. The tartans on the wall, and the solid ones on the rack to the left. Sorry I don't have a better pic. The black one I bought from them was great.

Thanks, KCW. I emailed them.
I'd still be glad to hear about others, just in case!

You can also try www.scottishlion.com, they are a good reputable highland wear vendor.

Give Doris Swisshelm a call over at The Scottish Merchant in Alexandria, VA. They have a great selection of ties in stock at all times. Their number is 703-739-2302.

I'm all set. Thanks, everybody, for your suggestions. I ended up using KCW's guy, who was as friendly and helpful as could be.
I should have thought of asking you guys sooner.
I also ordered a new sgian dubh from Matt Newsome today. New toys are always fun!

The tie arrived today. Darryl at Dunedin Scottish gave great service.
Thanks, again, to KCW for the recommendation.

Bob, glad it worked out. I was impressed when I visited them and want to see people use them when they need kilts or accessories. It is nice to run across small businesses and support them. And the small business owners, Steve, Rocky, Robert, Matt, Richard, Steve V., etc., seem to have a great ethic in wanting to make money, but respecting and supporting each other.
