Did Mother Nature Lift Your Kilt?

I can report that I had a full on Marilyn Monroe event 2 hours ago at the post office. Judging from the clapping and whistling, it was well witnessed.

I have only been hit with two really bad ones, the first was in a remote part of nothern NY state, while pumping gas on a windy day, the car I was driving and the gas pumps created a wind tunnel, no problem it just pushed the kilt up against me, that is until I opened the car door which made the wind swirl and the kilt to go up to my shoulders. Luckily the wife was inside and no other cars around for miles. The second one was in from of city hall, the air conditioners there are under ground, and we all know what happens when the kick on.

I can hit the park for disc golf in a good breeze w/o a thought. jjoseph

I got introduced to the sport on my recent trip to Hawaii....what fun! I'm hooked! Disc golfing in a kilt is great...working on an apron to clip on my kilt to hold the discs....

Ooops a little off topic...I've had a gust lift the back end of my leather kilt...but that was a hurricane gust ;)

By lightweight do you mean things like Sport Kilts?

I wear my Utilikilts regimental most of the time. Same with my greatkilt when I'm not dancing or performing, and the material in that is much lighter than a tank. And when I get my SWK, it'll probably be the same thing.

I've never had the kilt go all the way up, though I've had a couple close calls.

Living in Scotland I've never seen a Sport Kilt. I was just speaking from personal experience having been for years a wearer of heavyweight Scottish kilts and having only recently began to wear the polyester Mercy kilt. I certainly don't intend going regimental in the Mercy kilt.

Same here, Graham, although not always black. If you are referring to those young guys who wear their pants down so low that 3-4 inches of their underwear is showing - I've begun to wonder if they are trying to get the crotch of their pants down lower for comfort.

I've never had the under apron budge a bit. I've felt the back rising, but caught it, unlike this chap:
