    Question Hello

I have been interested in kilts for long and weary and have now got my self a full prince Charlie outfit with an extra kilt, I will be wearing it this Saturday to a wedding but have a big problem how do I dress correctly not to look like a idiot.
Say one thing the wife loves it and wants to get me more stuff. I have an 8yrd 13oz kilt and a 5yrd for hopefully everyday use.

First - let me say welcome to our little corner of the internet - I'm sure you will find much to help you here. The fact that your wife loves the look of a kilt is a big plus for you. Rather than offer some feeble advice for you, I just want to let you know the real experts will chime in soon - so Help is on the way!!!!

    Welcome and link

Welcome to the xmarks board and addiction. Here is a link of a wedding I attended please note in the first picture the groom has the formal outfit, I have a make shift outfit using a tuxedo jacket. There are a lot of pictures and you should get a good idea from them. The whole wedding party rented kilt outfits.

enjoy your stay here the information is overwhelming at times but all very good.

    What tartans did you get?

    Eddie,

Indeed a great big WELCOME from the Mile High City!!

Glad that your wife enjoys your Kilt wearing, and as far as how to I would suggest looking at photos that most have in the signature area. Especially Hamish, our resident fashion consultant. Another is to check the Show Us your Pics section, with various forms of Kilt wearing. You have already seen a couple of our Kilted brethern in wedding photos, but their is plenty of others to go around.

    Again WELCOME

I'm no expert on formal wear so I"ll pass on that one (although the advice given so far is a very good start) but I will pass along a heartfelt welcome to the forum.

    Hey cousin,

You can also do a search of the forum for any questions you might have by the subject, sporran, gillies, etc.

And, I'll bet if you PM'd Ham he'd help too.

    Welcome, Eddie.

You could look at pics at commercial sites. They generally have their models put together nicely.
