See, I knew that it was likely my next kilt wold come from Robert. A hemp kilt sounds perfect for the whole year here, except the dead of winter, and still able to handle the trips back to see family in FL.

And the best part is you can grow your kilt at home. Just put some grow lights in the closet and your good to go.
The Indian Hemp variety used for paper grows to 20/25 ft high in an English summer - or so I have been told.
I don't think the excuse that you were growing it for kilt making would get you off if you were found with feeble but highly perfumed plants growing in tropical temperatures.
The cloth should be seriously hard wearing - as long as the cotton growers don't hear about it and send the boys round to persuade people that growing/wearing hemp cloth is bad for the health. There is serious money in cotton.
I've also been looking for a work kilt and had pretty much decided on a UK Workman but believe I shall hold off ordering until you conclude your testing, especially on the hemp kilt.
