    SW Missouri storms...

Just had some very bad tornadic storms blow through SW Missouri. The "pucker factor" was high this evening, as we were about 5 miles north of one of the twisters. Big hail, some the size of small cell phones (the weatherman actually made that comparison on air), and one made a large dent in our hood, but we seem to have weathered the storm.

Several confirmed tornado touch downs, including in a couple of areas that were damged back in 2003 by twisters.

It's going to be a long night, methinks...

I'm happy to hear you are safe, Todd. The ugly weather is here in Indiana, now. We're under a torando watch for another 4 hours. Several funnel clouds were spotted about 45 miles away, during the night, with no reported touchdowns. Temperatures are currently in the high 60's and they are now saying we will see snowfall before midnight.

Good ol' Indiana - if you don't like the weather, stick around a minute, it's going to change.

    Todd,

saw them on the news earlier. Glad you missed out. For you boys in SW Ontario, better keep your heads down today, as the remnants will be hitting you. Severe thunderstorms on the way. And, knowing how the weather can be in SW Ontario, could very well have a twister or two pop up.

Your mind was headed in the right direction. Refers to what happens to that certain orifice when a person is stressed. The more stressed you are, the higher the pucker factor.

    SW MO tornadoes...

We came through fine, except for a few dings from the hail on the cars -- but one of my best friends from the Scottish society lived very close to where one of the tornadoes came through, and I haven't been able to reach him yet. Hopefully he and his family are well.

It's bad -- were looking at hundreds of homes damaged or destroyed in SW Missouri, although Springfield was very lucky.

Apparently 3 dead...so far. Considering the severity, could have been much worse, I guess.

I'm glad to hear you and your family made it through alright. I saw it on the news and some places look pretty bad.
