Was Sally's Gap there this year? I had been hoping to find out who the fiddle player they had last year was. She blew me away!!

No Sally's Gap but the Warsaw Poland Bros. will be at Francies in Corona on April 15th with my ugly twin brother Eamonn doing alternating sets.
WPB is the Sally's Gap gang without the loudmouth older gent and they are worth braving the wild and untamed 91 freeway to get to.

CT - Eamonn's fiddler is Rose Rogers but she's only a young'un at 14.

Nope, this girl seemed to be 18 - 20ish. Not only was she very pretty, but she played like the fiddle was an extension of her body. She never stopped dancing while she played, never broke a sweat doing it, kept grinning like she had never had so much fun as she was having right then, and lord was she talented; even my wife was impressed (meaning: by more than her looks

I remember a fiddler they had but the last time I saw them she wasn't with them but that doesn't mean she won't be. They still do all the regular and some ska based tunes. Francie's ain't a big place but for an Irish roadhouse biker bar sort of a place it's not bad.
Hopefully Eamonn won't ask me to assault the crowd with Fileds of Athenry like I did at the sexy kilt contest sunday ....

Definately one of my favorite songs. I like American Wakes version more than the punk renditions I hear a lot, and more than the really folksy versions too.
