Just to add a note of self-confidence to everyone--especially the newbies...

I took a deep breath and wore my new SWK Black Watch kilt to the wedding of the daughter of my oldest friends down in Dallas on Saturday. (You know how "conservative" Dallas can be--but it's also a fashion center.) As usual, it was the women who made comments (all positive), but the best one was, "Oh how classy!"

Maybe she thought I was the hired piper (there wasn't one!), but in my new kilt, navy blue blaser, white shirt, tie, kilt hose with flashes and black brogans, I did cut quite a sight.

Just goes to show you--from hunting, hiking, construction, sports, office to formal affairs, there's a (contemporary) kilt and ensemble for any situation. Who knows, maybe I planted a seed in the mind of one of those young men at the wedding!

Congrats on stepping out in style at teh wedding. I will be similarly garbed Thursday night at a work relkated event - will shock the shinola out of a few people there but will be well worth it in the end.

Did anybody happen to capture you in your finery at the event such that you could post the pic here so thatw e might all share your joy a bit better?

Great way to spend the day! I'll bet you planted more than one seed that day. Who knows how many kilts will be ordered now that they see how good they can look
