Denver - St. Patrick's Day Show
I would like to extend a cordial invitation to all you kilted brethren for Friday, March 17.
The Sheabeen Pub in Aurora, 2300 S. Chambers Rd. in Aurora, (that's the SE corner of Iliff & Chambers) always throws a helluva hootenanny on St. Paddy's, and this year is no exception.
Bands: Jay Graham, Juice O' the Barley, Stray Dog, and the Michael Collins Pipe Band.
Grub: Corned beef & cabbage. Duh.
Libations: The freshest Guinness in town, Bass, Harp, Jameson's, Tullamore, etc., including many fine single malts.
Parking: FREE!!!! (Hear that, GMan?) No meters or paid lots out here on the east side.... FREE!!!!!
Cover charge: none. (That I know of)
Listen, blokes - if you've never heard a 30-man pipe and drum band INSIDE a pub before, you haven't lived. Trust ol' Angus here - this is absolutely worth the drive.
I will be there, and expect to see at least a few of you Denver X-Markers there.
Last one there is a rotten egg!!!!!

Oh yes I heard Michael Collins there several years ago, GREAT accoustics. If I get back in town by then, I'll see you there.

Tried to make it last night, (was in Vail for the day) but because so many people were out celebrating found that I-70 was rather overloaded with people not knowing how to celebrate.
Did you have a good time?
