Nice look Al! I have not paired colored button down shirts with my kilts, but that pic has me looking forward to it.

Thanks for the kind words, guys! I think I'm going to be looking at button-down shirts a little more in the future for wearing with my kilts. Hmmmmm...another reason for my lovely wife to hide my wallet.

I have a black polo shirt that I wear with a couple of my kilts pretty often.

That looks good, Al...two thumbs up.

I like the look Al. I have usually just used polo (rugby) type shirts in black, but the dress shirt looks great.

    Looks good Al!

I have a royal stewart kilt (red base) and tend to think the only good looking shirts for that kilt are either black or off-white. However, you've clearly demonstrated that black shirts can be worn blue/green tartans as well. Good show!

Black seems to work best with my predominatly red Livingston tartan, either sweater, dress shirt or polo

I do so love playing with possibilities. That looks SHARP!

It gives the Gordon tartan a whole nother look!

Thanks for passing that tip on.

Looking good Al. I have a couple of solid black flannel button up shirts for winter that go very well with the Douglas modern and ancient kilts I have.

That is a very sharp look. Black seems to work with a wide selection of tartans. I really like wearing a black polo and black hose with my Irish National.
