Good grief........When I got new uniforms, and turned in my old ones, my boss told me "I don't want them". So I understood that to mean I could do whatever I wanted with them. But out of the general safety of the public, one shirt became 'dress up' for my nephew, and the rest are shop rags. Kinda a slap in the face at my job.

I know, all my old fire department uniforms are sitting in my closet. They didn't want them when I retired and I don't feel right destroying them. But you can't allow those kind of things to get out in the public.
