It all starts tonight for me... the St. Baldrick's shave event is at 8:00 at Fado. (If you'd like to donate to help fight children's cancer, please visit my page at http://www.stbaldricks.org/ShaveePho...umber=15328356 )
Friday, I was planning on leaving work early to go over to Dublin (Ohio) to partake in their St. Patty's day events - good music, good entertainment, and both family and non-family stuff to do.
However... I may have to put it off because I had a meeting scheduled at 2:00 tomorrow afternoon, by an Italian-American b***h (and not just because she scheduled this meeting). I'm still gonna bail as early as I can, as one of the members of our Columbus Kilted group is playing with his band (Knot Fibb'n) at 4:15.
Saturday will be a better day, my Great Aunt (who is like a grandmother to me) is celebrating her 90th birthday here in Columbus, and then hopefully we'll be off to Dublin for more partying!
And the whole time, I will be in my new Irish American kilt! Ah... good times, good times...

I got permission to wear mine tomorrow: I told them it was a gesture of Gaelic solidarity on my part, and that I promised to subscribe to a "Don't ask, Don't tell" policy regarding regimental dressing.
Bryan...half day for me, tomorrow...

I am picking up a case of Guinness tonight. Tomorrow I have a bunch of friends and neighbors coming by my place, where we will have a few in the Tipsy Laird ( http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/s...ht=Tipsy+Laird )
We are than heading to the pub down the block for a bite to eat and a few more pints. The pub is giving away a number of things:
- Free Aleaxander Keith's pint glass with every pint of Keiths
- An Alexander Keith's beer fridge
- A Stronbow mountain bike
- A Sleeman's $400 party for you and 7 friends
All this and a few of us in kilts, the best wings in town, and hopefully some decent trad.

My partner has to work tomorrow night so my St. Patty's day will be spent relaxing with my dog at home.

Starting at 11:00am when the doors open to the Irish Times in Victoria. We are going to plow right through until closing at 01:00 in the morning when they close and then head off to a good old house party until the sun comes up. After that I am sure that I will be needing my bed in a big way!
Many bands and dancers all day long at the Irish Times. The only down fall is that pints are a little pricey down there and I think I will have to break the piggy bank in order to drink all day there.
Anyway, it should be fun and I hope you all enjoy a great day with what ever you do with it.
Cheers!!!!

Plans? Going to the inlaws to cook up a batch of corned beef and cabbage. I'll have to see if my green suede waistcoat goes well with the Stewart Hunting kilt.
Hmmm.... better pick up some Guiness...

Out to Dinner
We are eating out with some friends and then going to the car show. I plan to wear my tan mocker from UK, off white hose, and the only green I have is a green, plaid flannel shirt. Don't how that will look, but that is what I am wearing.
DALE.

I have a St Pattys WEEKEND plan. I will start tomorrow with the parade, then it will be pre-flight starting after lunch until about 930 pm,. then we head out to River street and continue the drinking of Guinness all night, then wake up in the morning and start the evolution all over again. Sunday will be recovery day...kilted all weekend of course.
