As I see it, we have zero actually options right now (personal opinion..folks.) I was really hoping McKenna ran. He may not be perfect, but I liked him for some reason.
what's next, Rick Mercer for Prime Minister in 2007?

Perhaps you should take a page from the USA's book and think about some show business figure that would make a good PM.
We've had Reagan and Scwartzeneger in California, Sonny Bono was in congress as was "Gopher" from the Love Boat. That Senator Fred Thompson guy doesn't seem to be able to decide if he's an actor or a politician...I hear that Rob "Meathead" Reiner, son of Carl and Archie Bunker's son-in-law on All in the Family is going to run against Ahhhhnold for the Governor's seat in California. Clint Eastwood was Mayor of Carmel, California...
What about Shatner? Why not a PM who takes a "Denny Crane" stand on everything? If he can captain the Star Ship Enterprise then he can take Canada into the 21st Century!
I mean, look who we have left to run for President...nada zilch nothing!
Our best bet is to run Martin Sheen since the West Wing is being cancelled.
Best

Now there is an idea. Maybe we see if Keifer Sutherland can run. Not only is he Tommy Douglas' grandson, but who would mess with Jack Bauer!!!!!
I'd vote for Rick Mercer too

Kefier Sutherland was very close in becoming Premier of Saskatchewan last year, but he couldn't get out of his CTU duty.
(Translation: He was going to play Tommy Douglas in CBC's Miniseries, but they wouldn't change the production date for Keifer. What a bunch of morons)

How about Rex Murphy...a true fellow from the Rock who'd entertain us all during question period so no-one would ask questions....Mercer wouldn't be bad either...he did offer a liberal candidates kit on ebay...went up to a couple million I heard... But alas none would wear a kilt .....or would they?
