I thank you all...My dad doesn't like the kilt but i don't give a hoot about him, the lassies like th kilt though...I might Dunedin festives but i'm not old enough for a drink...unfortunatlly.

At least he was paying attention! The discussion comes up frequently on this site about negative and positive reactions to the wearer of a kilt. It is unfortunate when the negative comes from one so close. Hang in there (and hang out here!) and perhaps his attitudes will slowly change. Respect for your dad is still called for, even as you take on more responsibility for your own life.
