We only get the Sunday edition, too, Adam - my wife spied it in the bosses copy at work.

I guess that maybe I'm getting to be an old stick in the mud but besides the too short kilt he's wearing boots and no flashes with a PC. Seems to me that he's making a mockery of the Scots out of perhaps only ignorance, that tends to frost me a bit.

You are correct Paul Henry. Scotch is only made in Scotland, but whisky can be made anywhere. In Canada we have Rye whisky, in the US they have Bourbon, in Scotland they have Scotch, and in Ireland they have whiskey (with an "e").

Likewise, Cognac made anywhere by Cognac is just Brandy........

    Chris.
And he's wearing a "Got Scotch?" T-shirt under it, the same way I used to wear a colored t-shirt and tennis shoes with a suit, when I was in my 20's.

He looks like a modern "Wild Scotsman" in a fancy jacket. It looks like he has adapted the clothes to fit his PR. If he looked dapper, he wouldn't fit the image that his name suggests.

The kilt looks the right height to me. It's stopping just at the top of his knees. He does have huge knees however.

But his sporran is totally off-kilter. Way off the center-line.

Sounds like an interesting concept in Scotch. Good for him for striking out on his own.

Here's a larger article in the same paper.

The guy has tree trunks for legs, but the way he's wearing the kilt looks like it's about right to me.

The kilt length is just as it should be! This chap's chunky legs and ENORMOUS feet are, I'd suggest, down to the camera angle - the photographer had the camera somewhere around the model's knee height, angled upwards.

(PS: anyone wearing a T-shirt with a Prince Charlie should be taken out and shot at dawn! )

Maybe he was trying to get a photo UP the kilt!
