Adventures Kilted in a Salsa Club

    Hello everyone
Last night my wife and I went with our dance class to a salsa club in Toronto ON. We were told to dress up so I wore my 8yrd black kilt and matching shirt and hose, etc. When we arrived I was the only kilted person Surprise!!!!!!!!!. We hit the dance floor and began to dance, the kilt was just swaying away lots of odd looks. What I noticed mostly was the overly macho guys pointing at me or laughing. The ladies would smile and nodd . I went to the washroom and I was the only one in there as I did my business two other gentlemen entered and instead of them using the facilites on either side of me one choose to go into a stall and another waited till I was done. Now I didn't say anything but I was a little shocked. As I went out of the washroom a group of young ladies were waiting for drinks and being hit on by these two gentlemen as they were pointing and giggling ,the one lady says thats HOT I nod a thank you to her and got caught up with the rest of the group I was with.
It took one comment to make my evening that much better . In all the night was fun my wife and I danced up a storm and yet again the power of the kilt got me though the nightand does looks great when salsa dancing

. I wouldn't take that personal at all, MacHummel. I'd have done exactly the same as these two guys whether you were kilted or trousered. I find that my waterworks are slower with age - standing next to some one at a urinal makes me feel under stress to pass water quickly in case if I'm standing there too long they'll think I'm a homo and the stress has the opposite effect and just means the water doesn't flow. So nowadays even when I'm wearing trousers, if the only urinal available was right next to another man I'd either wait till he's done or go into a stall. I often choose to go into a stall through preference if the urinals are busy, particularly when kilted, as I don't want my kilt to draw the attention of any gays who might be loitering around.

Another nice story to verify the right choice!

Macho men? Hah, that obviously only goes skin-deep. They sound pretty insecure to me - and I bet nobody told them that night that they looked hot...

Did anybody in your group bring a camera along? Would be great to see a photo of the kilt/salsa combination

Men can be unbelievbly insecure at times.

... the one lady says thats HOT...

Sorry dude, but you broke the men's urinal code ...When facing a bank of three urinal, you always pick an end, so that someone else doesn't have to stand right next to you - unless. of course, you are establishing dominance, in which case, you did exactly the right thing, and they backed down.

Wearing a kilt you always establish dominance. Gotta be an Alpha male to wear the kilt in the first place.

I got a similar reaction at a wedding reception I attended. A few guys were laughing and pointing, but the women all wanted to dance with me.

In fact I danced with one of the laughing guys' date for the evening. I was dancing with a group of women that had gathered around me and she got up and joined in. He didn't seem very amused by that.

And yes, I grab the middle urinal when I can.

Go to the middle, let the little boys laugh. A man in a kilt dancing is probably two things more than the overgrown 12-year olds will ever have the stones to do. That's fine with us and the ladies too.

Thanks for the support guys, Blu it was in ear shot of those other guys, I think there might be a few pics taken while we were dancing, a friend of mine mentioned to me today that the kilt really made it look like I was really shaking my hips when I was dancing another reason to wear a kilt helps with dancing. .
