I totally agree, SB. I plan what I will wear a day in advance, and take into account the weather forecast. I also pay more attention to my shoes than I did before I started wearing kilts. I always make sure that they are clean and shined if it's a pair that you would typically polish. Like KT, I also make clothing purchases with my kilts in mind.
I think that we "sell" the kilt when we wear it publicly whether we want to or not. That said, I want to leave the impression of "that guy looks great!" When you look good, you feel good, and it shows repect for the people around you.
