No matter what you do somebody is going to get offended by it. I was walking near the University campus a while back wearing my homemade dress sporran and a couple kids started giving me a load of garbage about the fur sporran. I just told em it was fake fur (which it is. I'm not wasting real fur on a first attempt). This didn't seem to register with them as they just got more vehement because it LOOKED like fur. I tried walking away but they followed ranting away. I finally stopped, turned and read them the riot act about being hypocrits and fools. That has been my only encounter with the lunatic fringe, most simply don't pay any attention. The seal hunt is only an issue because seals look "cute". You never see those clowns griping about killing rats or snakes. It's a fake issue unless the species is truely endangered. That comes from the Walt Disney view of nature, Bambi and Thumper sitting in the forest having tea and conversing. They have no clue of the way nature really works.
