Welcome I am new myself but I will tell you that this is a great group and if you have any questions, just ask, there is a great pool of knowledge at your disposal here...just dont ask me anything... not yet
G'day Will and welcome. Can't say much about the contemporary kilts as I've never worn them myself. There are by far more educated folk here than I about those. But don't afraid to try on a traditional. there's some awesome tartans and strong, versatile and can be worn casually. I love 'em!

The only advice I can give you is: Don't make any major purchases like cars, televisions and junk like that. After you buy your first kilt, you'll want more kilts, and more accessories to go with them.
Then you'll be wanting a gym membership to get in better shape so you'll look great in all those kilts.
And then you'll want to go to interesting places wearing them.
Kilts are like crack. They take over your life.
At least kilts are a healthy addiction and hecka fun!
Welcome aboard Will and have fun. Like the rest said we have all the answers for you right here and if we don't we'll make up some that at least sound good

Hey, you're not supposed to tell new members that. We want them to think that we are all-knowing.
Besides, they all find out eventually.
