Okay...we picked up seven yards of material...I got on the scale and weighed myself (digital) and then had my daughter hand me the whole pile of fabric...subtracted my weight from the total weight and divided by seven.
I have no idea if this is even close to a way to determine what the weight is but it seemed logical....

...but mind that this is a doublewidth piece of fabric...I'm sure that Barb or one of the Kilt Kogniscenti will have the real answer.
