Hey, Glen Canyon is only 1200 feet deep at that point. If someone slipped over the updraft would probably just blow them back up.

I have to be careful when I hike to that spot. Many tourists are scared and lay on their bellies to peer over the edge. If I just walk up to the edge, and they are laying down...well, if they look up....

The Grand Canyon....now that's deep....
