Mine is the MacIan tartan, chosen because my closest Scottish link was my dad's mother who was a McKean, a variation of MacIan.

    Ohhhhh, I see. Tartan avatars...

I'm wearing the Black Watch, and my lovely wife, the Robertson Red.

    How's that?

Ancient Macbeth. It's the tartan I'm getting married in. I did choose it partly for the Shakespeare connection (Cassie's a Shakespearian, and I also like Shakespeare), and I'm a medievalist, so I know who Macbeth really was

Here is a link to the tartan in my avatar:-

    http://www.tartans.scotland.net/tart...?tartan_id=318

I obtained the avatar by scanning the apron of my kilt. The computer generated image in the above link, doesn't quite look the same as it does in the flesh.

I think mine is the Wallace tartan, I am not sure, as I lifted it off a google image search
I have no connection to the Wallace clan, but I loved the picture.
