I was actually complaining about the pic looking fuzzy, not dark. It's fine color/contrast wise on my LCD / Apple Powermac. I have noticed before though that pix that look fine here appear a bit dark on my CRT at work.
I added the sporran before we went out - a black Freelander Mark III with one of Cavscout's sporran belts.
Looks good.
With respect to your PowerMac looking lighter, it's partly because Apple sets the Mac OS up to display a different gamma setting for the monitor than Windows does... Windows is the same as a TV, when it comes to the gamma settings. On my Macs, I always run them with uncorrected gamma in the Monitors control panel, since I prefer my blacks to be black and my whites to be a true white, not a slightly yellowish white. It also makes sure that my scanned photos look identical to the original prints (or slides), when I view them on my Mac.
