One Year of Kilting
Today marks the one year anniversary of my kilt wearing. The first time I strapped on a kilt in public was for Tartan Day last year. To think, my first time kilt wearing was at work.
I'm still far from a full time kilt wearer, but I do wear them from time to time. Now when I wear a kilt to work, the typical reaction is to ask what is going on that day, since I tend to wear the kilt on days of celtic significance.
Two ladies in the office have their birthday's tomorrow, but since we have compressed work weeks and a lot of people are off work tomorrow, we are celebrating today. One of them asked if I dressed up for her and I told her, "Yes, I put on a tie just for you." I did tell both of them that if it made them feel good to think I dressed up for them, it was okay with me for them to so so. Anything for the ladies you know.
I do have a picture of today's ensemble, but you'll have to wait until I get home to load it.

One year, huh? How bad has the addiction taken hold of you? What is your inventory now?
Congratulations it has been 3 years since I ordered my first kilt.

All I know is that I have spent a LOT more than I ever thought about spending on clothes before. I have three wool kilts with more purchases planned and an even bigger wish list. Then there are all the other kilts from Stillwater and such (I haven't counted them recently). Plus, both a charcoal tweed jacket and a black Brian Boru jacket, as well as other formal accessories. Half a dozen sporrans, many kilt hose, etc.
Addiction is putting it mildly.

I was a little disappointed this evening. I went out to dinner and didn't get a single comment. I didn't even notice any looks. I guess that's good, but I do like the attention.
