    Today
    (April 6)
    is the 686th Anniversary
    of The
    Declaration of Abroath

‘It is in truth not for glory, nor riches,
nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom
    - for that alone, which no honest man
gives up but with life itself.’

Extract from the Declaration of Arbroath, 1320.

    The Declaration of Arbroath
is withoot doubt the maist famous document

P1M, when I was across last September, I was fortunate enough to see the exhibit at Parly. The Declaration of Arbroath, the Ayr Manuscript and the Lubeck Letter were all there.

The Declaration of Arbroath was quite a sight to behold. And to think it was older than our Declaration of Idependence is today, when our Declaration was signed is amazing.
