While I haven't gone for the full Scot dress regalia just yet, I think I would subsititute a more modern equivalent of the sgian dubh... namely, a Glock model 27.

    first pics of new kilt

Rather than start a new thread, figured I'd tack my photos on here.

This is what I wore to work for Tartan Day.

These are also my first photos of my new 8-yd, 13-oz Strathmore Hunting Robertson tartan kilt.

Today was also the day that my team had a team building activity - a 4-hr scenic train ride through the Verde River canyon an hour-and-a-half north of Phoenix. Got plenty of compliments & opportunities to tell folks about Tartan Day.

It was a great day, though every day in a kilt is a great day!

I didn't take any pics yesterday *shame on me!* but my red/black diced hose along with my Davidson kilt and Argyll jacket was quite a hit.

Everyone couldn't stop talking about my hose...the kilt was a non-issue.

I need to get a pair of the red and black diced hose. I think the would look great with the MacIan tartan I had on in the pics.

Oh, and ALWAYS have the camera with you when kilted so pictures can be taken.

    I'll second that, Ron!

A kilt makes a lot of sense in the desert heat - ventilation for the equipment!!!
