Exactly! X Marks is not all things to all people, because we aren't trying to accomplish that. We have one goal - to be the best kilt forum going. That's where it ends.
Let's look at the Welcome Message from the CMPS page -
" X Marks the Scot is a community of kilt wearers and those who encourage the wearing of kilts. Kilts are a man's garment and it is our goal to promote the wearing of the kilt in more than just the "Highland Games" situation. This is not a forum for men looking to wear womens clothing nor is it a forum for other types of men's unbifurbricated garments. If you want to know more about kilts then you have come to the right place!"
If you want to know more about politics, religion, firearms, popcorn, helicopters or child-birthing, then you have not come to the right place. We're about kilts.
There is an Off Topic forum for discussion of other, acceptable topics. But that is where it ends. We're not here to discuss the merits, pitfalls and rewards of canning vegetables, we're here to discuss kilts and the people that wear them.
We had enough interest in a Pub section that a new forum was established for that very reason. If you were unaware of it, visit the X Marks Pub. There are a lot of pub-related discussions there, just as there are a lot of kilt-related discussions here.
It's been said before, but maybe it needs to be said again - There is nothing wrong with mentioning another forum site to an X Marks member. If you've found an excellent martial arts forum you think somebody might enjoy, drop them a PM and invite them across. We don't troll other forums for members and we appreciate that not happening here, either. But a PM to suggest another forum to someone is perfectly appropriate.

And I so wanted to discuss the latest popcorn brands.

Dale & Thomas Popcorn is the best of thebest popcorn in my book - the stuff is wickedly addictive and if i am ever even remotely near one of thier locations i have to buy a bag & a half (like the man & a half in a kilt) of Kettle & caramel mixed and stuff my face with it until i explode . (especially since it takes on an aroma of stinky feet if left to sit for too long)
YUM YUM DOUBLE YUM
oops - was i not supposed to post that in here...
