I think SportKilt has kids kilts too...basic, but washable...

I was thinking about getting my nephew a sportskilt one. Washable is good, and it doesnt have to look as real as some of us would prefer lol.
I like the cheap and not worry about them destroying it idea and am keeping it in mind for when we have kids (when Im in my career a bit more and hes gone back to school)

Agree, the same reasoning we opted for a pv off the rack. Sebastian turns out to be uncomfortable with wool close to his body, so at present non-wool is the way to go.
I'd love to get him a wool (if things change) Tara/Murphy when I no longer have to worry too much about spilling ice cream, ketchup and wiping his hands on his kilt after taking a tumble.
I am quite certain that a dad worrying about junior ruining his kilt does not promote the young and budding kilt-wearer...
So, dad's ideas of weight, swoosh and quality of pleats and leather straps just have to wait
There is a Royal Stewart in the post (Sebastian choose the tartan, as no Tara/Murphy off the rack for kids either...).
I am still looking for a good value (and quality) kilt for my son. I may en up making him a Maple Leaf Pv kilt, but I still wouldn't mind a nice MacKenzie or Watson one for him.
